FAU Fall Semester 2024 begins on Saturday, August 13 2024. Below are other important dates on the FAU academic calendar for the Fall semester of 2024.

1. Fall 2024 Registration opens on Monday, March 28, 2024.
2. Non-Degree registration opens on Monday, August 15 2024.
3. FAU move-in day for Fall 2024 is from August 17 to August 24 2024 (9 a.m. to 6 p.m). Students must schedule a move-in appointment through the Housing portal in July. Check out FAU Canvas and myFAU login guide.
4. FAU Fall classes begin on Saturday, August 20, 2024.
5. Add/Drop deadline is Friday, August 26 2024.
6. 60+ audit registration is Monday, August 29 2024.
7. The last day to pay without late fees is also Monday, August 29 2024.
8. Monday, September 5 2024 is labor day. FAU Holiday.
9. Monday, September 19 2024 is the last day to withdraw with a 25% tuition adjustment.
10. Friday, October 28 2024 is the last day to drop with a “W”.
11. Friday, November 11 2024 is Veteran’s Day (University closed).
12. Thanksgiving Break Begins on Thursday, November 24 to Sunday, November 27 2024.
13. Fall classes end on Saturday, December 3, 2024.
14. Reading days begin on Monday, December 5 2024 to Wednesday, December 7 2024.
15. Final exams begin on Thursday, December 8 to Wednesday, December 14 2024.
16. FAU Commencement/graduation is on Thursday, December 15, and Friday, December 16 2024.

6. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday is Monday, January 16 2025.
